Hundreds of young girls and some parents were already camped out on 49th Street early Thursday afternoon.

Among them was Diane Hersic of Jackson, New Jersey, there with her daughter Samantha.

"We're here. Third time's the charm," Diane told WCBS 880 reporter Marla Diamond. "She missed three concerts because of the weather."

Samantha even missed the last day of school to get there early.

"I think I get mother of the year for this," Hersic said. "This is a lot crazy."

The girls will sleep on purple blankets - Justin's favorite color. They were also painting their nails purple and reading fan magazines to fill the many hours before showtime.

1010 WINS reporter John Montone also spotted an older man in a Jimmy Buffett t-shirt.

He was saving a space for his daughter and her friend.
