Eli Manning Throws Out First Pitch At Mets-Reds Game

NEW YORK (WFAN) - Giants quarterback Eli Manning, accompanied by his infant daughter Ava and wife Abby, celebrated Fathers Day by throwing out the first pitch at Citi Field before the Mets took on the Reds. Manning was representing a Pampers promotion for "Most Valuable Dads."

Wearing his custom Mets No. 10 jersey that read "MANNING" on the back, the two-time Super Bowl MVP tossed a pitch to Mets third baseman David Wright who received it at home plate.

Eli had never been to Citi Field before, according to The New York Post.  He was able to chat with a number of Mets players before the game.

"It's a little different locker room mentality, football and baseball. We get 16 games. They get 162," Manning told reporters before the game.

When asked by the media if he was a Mets or Yankees fan, Manning smartly wasn't taking sides.  "I'm both. I'm a New York fan," he replied.
