When Craig referred to MMA fighter ‘Notorious’ Nick Newell as the ‘one-armed bandit’ – Boomer wasn’t sure it was appropriate.
Craig assured his radio partner that Newell – who competes in MMA despite not having a left-hand – would be fine with the nickname and proceeded with that line of thinking. Newell will be a guest of the program this Wednesday, so I guess we will soon find out what he really thinks of it.
Staying somewhat on the subject, Craig asked Boomer how he would describe a one-armed bank robber to the authorities if ever put in a situation that he had to do so.
An odd question I agree, but it made for pretty good radio…
