NYPD: Man Groped 10-Year-Old Girl In Harlem Elevator

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has released a surveillance image of a Harlem sex assault suspect who allegedly attacked a 10-year-old girl.

Around  5 p.m. on June 6, the suspect approached the child in an elevator near Malcolm X Boulevard and 145th Street, police said.

The suspect then groped the victim's buttocks over her clothing before fleeing the location, police said.

The suspect is described as being in his late 20s. He is believed to be about 5-feet-6-inches tall with a medium build.

Police said the suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans, and long sleeved buttoned shirt.
