DEER PARK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - There is a place on Long Island where you can find folks wearing coats, hats, gloves, boots, and even long johns on a hot day like this, WCBS 880′s Sophia Hall reported.

They work at Ice Sculpture Designs in Deer Park, where Dan Bergin makes the sculptures for weddings, graduations, and other parties.

“I’m all suited up in long johns all year around,” he told Hall. “It does sound nice, but it isn’t necessarily as nice as it sounds.”

The temperature in the freezer is about 10 degrees F and he spends up to eight hours in there.

Amongst everything else in there, you’ll find a lot of shot sliders, which are very popular in the summer months.

“A block of ice that’s carved out with at least one or more tracks where you actually pour liquor from a bottle down the track of ice,” Bergin said.
