Straphanger Wanted For Secretly Taping Women On Subways And Posting Videos Online

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Police are on the lookout for a subway stalker who they said has been secretly video-taping young women on trains and posting the videos online.

According to a New York Post report, the straphanger allegedly uses a camera hidden in a Starbucks cup to steal shots of women while they ride the rails.

He calls himself "John Zippy," and he posts his shots on a YouTube channel called "New York Subway Girls." He's uploaded 35 videos since the beginning of the year and boasts that he always gets away with it because his targets never know what he's up to.

Police said that he could face up to four years in jail for capturing intimate images without the subject's consent. However, it would be up to a court to decide what's "intimate", since most of the clips show women simply sitting or walking.

Female subway riders, how much does this creep you out? Will you be looking for "John Zippy" the next time you ride the rails? Offer your thoughts and comments in the section below...
