Jerry Recco's first update of the morning began in a similar fashion as to today's show, by providing the details surrounding the Yankees 5-4 win over the Indians - including losing Andy Pettitte for 6-8 weeks to a broken fibula - which practically brought Suzyn Waldman to tears - sorta.
The Mets got the bats going on a warm day in Chicago, plating 17 runs to the Cubs 1 and halting their 4-game slide. Daniel Murphy hit his first two long-balls of the season and Jordany 'I Am The Man Right Now' Valdespin gets sent down, rendering his self-given nickname a little foolish.
