Joe Girardi was faced with what turned out to be a game-changing decision last night against the White Sox – and change the game it did. Instead of giving the ball to David Robertson to begin the 9th inning, the Yankees skipper elected to go with what turned into a combination of Cody Eppley, Clay Rapada & Robertson – a combination that lead to a 4-3 Bombers loss, in-turn providing Boomer & Craig with somethin’ to talk ’bout.
The guys also touched on the Mets after they won their 2nd straight, this one over the Dodgers by a score of 3-2. Craig made a case for why he believes Major League Baseball hates the Mets, citing some questionable scheduling that lies ahead for them.
All of that and with the WFAN 25th anniversary celebration getting started today (the actually FAN on-air anniversary is Sunday – 7/01/12) Boomer & Craig will be ringing the closing bell on Wall Street and the Booms is a little worried about how his radio partner is going to dress for the occasion…
