Jerry Recco was determined to make it through his first update of the week without making an error, which he did. As for the Mets, they failed to play error free baseball last night in Los Angeles and therefore were dealt an 8-3 loss by the Dodgers, denying them of the elusive four-game sweep.

David Wright was named an All-Star, but not voted in as a starter, which he claimed to be okay with, Craig on the other hand was not thrilled.

Plus, the Yankees salvaged their four game set against the White Sox with a 4-2 win, Tiger Woods passes Jack Nicklaus for second on the all-time wins list with his victory at the AT&T National, putting him eight wins short of Sam Snead’s 82, and the NBA & NHL free-agency heats-up a bit…
