Jerry Recco got himself an early start to the weekend, so Boomer & Craig welcomed in a former morning show staffer by the name of Chris Lopresti — aka C-Lo — and looked to him for an update.

C-Lo began with the Mets’ 6-5 comeback win over the Phillies last night at Citi Field, which was highlighted by the face of their franchise, David Wright’s four-RBI performance, including the game-winner off Jonathan Paplebon in the ninth.

Before getting to this weekend’s Yankees-Red Sox series in Beantown, poor C-Lo was forced to endure a few lumps from Boomer & Craig, beginning with a factual error he made regarding Wright’s contract and ending with his dramatic weight-loss.

Plus, the Knicks make a splash by landing Jason Kidd to run the point and now can shift their focus to retaining the services of Jeremy Lin, who will reportedly sign the 4-year, $29 million offer sheet on the table from the Rockets.  Amani Toomer chooses Tony Romo over his old Giants’ teammate Eli Manning when asked about quarterback supremacy – for whatever that’s worth…
