Blown Transformer Sets Car, Condominium On Fire In Midtown

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A parked car and an underground transformer caused a massive fire in Midtown on Saturday.

The car caught fire after the transformer blew, it quickly spread into a nearby condominium on East 56th street. It took eighty firefighters to fight the blaze, which was under control with in an hour.

Building occupants were not evacuated, no injuries were reported.
