Punk-Rocker Harley Flanagan Accused Of Slashing, Biting Members Of 'Cro-Mags' At Webster Hall

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Police are still sorting through Friday night's chaos during an event at Webster Hall.

Punk-rock bassist Harley Flanagan faces assault and weapons charges.

Police said that the founder and former member of the 1980's group, the "Cro-Mags," slashed two current members of the band during the CBGB Music Festival.

Investigators said he also bit one of the victims.

One witness described the scene.

"Over the loudspeaker we heard, 'Everybody, you need to head towards the exits,'" the witness told CBS 2. "And it was just, like, chaos in the back. I've been with the building since [I was] 19 and with the business since 1994, and this is a first."

Both victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital and are expected to be OK.
