Actress Kristin Chenoweth Leaves Bellevue After Being Injured On Set Of 'The Good Wife'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Emmy and Tony award-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth has been released from the hospital after being injured on the set of the CBS drama "The Good Wife."

The accident happened at around 5 p.m. on the set in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A spokesperson for CBS said a wind gust blew a lighting silk out-of-place, striking the actress, CBS 2's Ann Mercogliano reported.

Chenoweth was taken to Bellevue Hospital, with minor injuries. She was released Thursday afternoon.

"Kristin has been released from the hospital and is home recovering. She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes," a spokesperson for the actress said Thursday.

Chenoweth wears many hats, but may be best-known for originating the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Broadway's "Wicked."

Since the accident, her worried fans have taken to both Facebook and Twitter sending the actress their well wishes.

"Here's praying for a speedy recovery from your injuries and hope it's nothing serious. Blessed Be," Gail Benedict posted on Facebook.

"Get well soon Kristin! Hoping for a speedy recovery," posted another fan Alyssa Strand.

CBS issued the following statement: "All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery."

This is not the first time Chenoweth has been hurt while working. She fell off a stage in 2006.

Chenoweth has a recurring role on "The Good Wife" this season.
