Famed actress, dancer, Broadway star and country singer Kristin Chenoweth was rushed to the hospital after she was injured on the Brooklyn set of The Good Wife Wednesday afternoon.

Kristin will have a recurring role as a political reporter on The Good Wife this fall, debuting in the season four premiere. She plays a reporter covering Peter Florrick’s (Chris Noth) campaign, who investigates his marriage to Alicia.

While filming, a big gust of wind knocked down a piece of lighting equipment that hit Kristin in the head and knocked her to the ground, where she smacked her head on the concrete. A witness said Kristin was “knocked out cold.” She was immediately taken to the hospital with minor injuries, as reported by the NY Times, and has since been released and is home recovering.

The title of her debut country album, Some Lessons Learned, is kind of contradictory to what is reported by The Daily Mail and TMZ, that Chenoweth may be a bit accident prone. She injured her neck during the pre-Broadway engagement of Wicked in 2003, fell off an elevated section of the stage during a Broadway rehearsal in 2006, and in 2011 she injured her back on the set of Glee, when she tumbled down a set of concrete stairs.

Kristin released her first country album Some Lessons Learned in September of 2011, and she told CBS Street Date that country music was her first love. “Well I grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and honestly those kinds of singers like Patsy Cline, especially Dolly Parton, Randy Travis – those were the big influences I had musically. I think my first time ever to sing was the national anthem at a rodeo. My very first musical influence was country music.” Read the complete interview here.

While on her radio tour promoting her album, Kristin stepped into the 99.5 WYCD Studio in Detroit.

You can also see Kristin in the music video for the first single released from her album, “I Want Somebody (Bitch About).”
