It seemed as if the bulk of public opinion was against Casey, but her defense attorney, Jose Baez, pulled a legal coup and managed to keep her out of prison. Now he's come out with a tell-all book, "Presumed Guilty - Casey Anthony: The Inside Story."

Baez visited "The Couch" to talk about the book, the trial and secrets of the dramatic case that only courtroom insiders were privy to.

"What you have covering trials are journalists who aren't trained in the law," Baez said on The Couch. "They have to condense everything that happened in 8 hours in a 2-and-a-half minute soundbyte and what they're gonna pull out is the drama, not necessarily the facts - and the facts that are most relevant both to the case and to the jury."

Even so, Baez didn't completely decry the media frenzy .

"There were times that I used the media to our advantage," Baez said. "And quite frankly if it wasn't for the media she may not have been acquitted.

As for his current relationship with Anthony, Baez said it's about the same as it is with his other clients.

"I have about the same amount of contact with her as I do with other previous clients," he said. "Just occasional check-ins, 'how are you?' - that sort of thing, but nothing beyond that."
