Kris Humphries Returns To Nets On Reported 2-Year, $24M Deal

NEW YORK (WFAN) -  Kris Humphries is returning to the Nets.

Humphries will be joining the franchise in Brooklyn after agreeing to a two-year, $24 million deal, according to multiple reports.

The 27-year-old tweeted on Tuesday to part-owner Jay-Z, "I'm up at Brooklyn! @S_C_ 'lucky I didn't have Jay drop me from the team' lol!"

Despite the added distraction of his high-profile divorce from Kim Kardashian, Humphries averaged 13.8 and 11.0 rebounds for the Nets last season.

"Kris is really excited to be playing for the new, cool team -- the Brooklyn Nets," his agent, Dan Fegan, told the New York Daily News.

Though unable to pry Dwight Howard from Orlando, the Nets have made a splash this offseason. Humphries, Deron Williams, Gerald Wallace and Brook Lopez will all stay with the franchise for its inaugural season in Brooklyn. Add Joe Johnson to the mix, and the pricey starting lineup could be a force in the East.

The Nets are now "targeting" free agent center Nazr Mohammed to back up Lopez, the Daily News reported.
