NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Last weekend, the Brooklyn Blue Storm Little League team won the regional championship in Connecticut.

With their 40-0 record, they should be heading to the American Amateur Baseball Congress World Series in Georgia next week, but unfortunately the team doesn’t have enough money to get there.

The team has raised about $2,000, but needs $5,000 to get 14 players and some of their families down to Georgia by bus. That doesn’t include the cost for 5 nights of lodging and food.

If they don’t raise the funds, then some players will be left behind.

If you would like to help, find out more at the team’s Facebook page here .
