Craig called today a very special day, especially here in New York City. The reason for his proclamation is simple, both the Super Bowl Champion NY Giants and their AFC counter part, the NY Jets both open up their training camps today and if you’re any kind of football fan at all, you can’t help but be excited.

Boomer was obviously feeling the football buzz and he shared with us what he expects out of the Giants and Jets at this point, while Craig tried to figure out why the Giants aren’t getting the respect he believes they deserve. Yes, you read that correctly, Craig Carton is advocating for the New York Football Giants to get the recognition that they have coming to them.

So on a day where the Yankees won (5-2 over the Mariners) and the Mets lost (5-2 to the Nats), Boomer said Terry Collins’ club is in need of a ‘team enema’ (metaphorically speaking of course). The Dynamic Radio Duo elected to put the baseball on the back burner and shifted their collective focus on the pigskin. That is until another Craig, Craig from Woodside, called in and tried (and somewhat succeeded) to stir a little something up between our Craigie and Mike Francesa…
