B&C Morning Show: Matt Harvey's Debut; Boomer Holds Craig Accountable

Finally, the Mets gave their fan base something to smile about last night in Arizona, which likely means very few people were up late enough to actually watch it, but that's neither here nor there.

Whether or not  anyone was watching does not diminish the performance by rookie right-hander Matt Harvey, who struck out 11 and - even if just for a night - gave fans of the 'Not So Amazins' something to cheer about.  Harvey also collected two hits in his MLB debut, so for those of you keeping track at home, that is two more hits than Jason Bay had. His average dipped to .176 after going 0 for 3.

After talking about the Mets and Harvey's stellar debut, Boomer was certain to bring-up Craig's not so stellar performance on the softball field yesterday afternoon, as the morning show staff (sans Jerry Recco) took on the crew over at MSG with bragging rights on the line.  Lead by Boomer, we beat the MSG guys in an affair that took extra-innings to decide, thanks in little part to Craig's conduct at shortstop and in the batter's box.

Boomer stressed to Craig the importance of accountability, while explaining his 'in-your-face' coaching style...
