Congratulations To Mike Eli Of Eli Young Band On Becoming A Daddy!

Fans of the Eli Young Band have been waiting patiently for information on the new baby that's been expected from lead singer Mike Eli and his wife Kacey, and now that wait is over. Congratulations to Mike and Kacey on the birth of their first child!

Little Kline Olivia Diaz came into the world late Monday evening, weighing in at 6 lbs, 15 ounces. Mom and daughter (and dad) are sleepy, but all doing well. See exclusive photo here.

The Eli Young Band has been on the Changed Tour with Rascal Flatts this summer, and as previously reported, Flatts member Jay DeMarcus flew in and out of Detroit a couple weekends ago to witness the birth of his son. He returned only hours later still in his scrubs and hospital ID bracelet, which he wore proudly throughout the show.

While in Detroit, 99.5 WYCD personality Steve Grunwald had the opportunity to talk with the Eli Young Band and find out how they expected to feel about having a new little band member.  While it will definitely add a “new dynamic to touring,” the boys also joked about it giving them “time off.”

Things are falling into place for the Eli Young Band. The group won Song of the Year at the ACM Awards this year (for “Crazy Girl”), and with “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” making Number One on the Billboard country song chart recently, they’ve now earned two chart-topping singles. And their latest album, Life At Best, is making a huge impact in the country market.
