Power Restored In Freehold After Severe Weekend Storm
FREEHOLD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Power is back on in all of Monmouth County following a devastating weekend storm.
JCP&L crews worked all weekend long and through Monday night to clear the trees that had come crashing down in Freehold.
The debris knocked down power lines, destroyed cars and damaged homes.
Saturday night's storm left thousands in Monmouth County, mostly in Freehold, without power.
Forecasters believe a "supercell" storm packing wind gusts as high as 65 mph pounded hit the area.
A dusk-to-dawn curfew remains in effect to keep everyone clear of limbs and dead power lines still on the roadways, CBS 2 reported.
