Zac Brown Band Serves Up Southern Ground Music & Food Festival Lineup

Since getting their start back in 2002, the Zac Brown Band have been hitting the road as often as possible, logging about 200 dates a year. They've played a music festivals over the years that go just beyond country music, including Bonnaroo, Beale Street Music, The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, SXSW, Lynyrd Skynyrd's Simple Man Cruise, and The Rock Boat.

Now, for the second year in a row, Zac (who is celebrating a birthday today, July 31) and the gang are putting on a festival of their very own, combining their love of music and food.

This year, the Southern Ground Music & Food Festival dishes up a melting pot of country, rock and roots music from such artists as The Avett Brothers, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals (whom many now know from this summer's Brothers of the Sun Tour), Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Wailers, The Charlie Daniels Band, Dobro master Jerry Douglas, Los Lonely Boys, and a few more Southern Ground artists.

The second annual festival will take place in Charleston, South Carolina on October 20 and 21, and the Zac Brown Band will perform both nights.

If you're in the Charleston area, or plan on making the trip for the awesome music and food, you can get in on the early bird pricing this Friday, August 3, before they raise the ticket price.

This isn't the only stop for the festival. It was announced this past May that the Zac Brown Band is bringing the festival to Nashville for the first time on September 22 and 23. Tickets for those shows are already on sale.

Get more information on the Southern Ground & Music Festival website.

Oh, and ZBB fans take note: today (July 31) is Zac Brown's birthday! He is 34 years old.
