NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – We all know that smoking is unhealthy – even deadly. Though 69 percent of smokers say they want to quit, it isn’t easy.

The Internet, especially social media, is becoming a great aid in the quest to kick the habit.

One online community, “Quitgroups,” has grown to nearly 5,000 members since it launched about a year ago.

The group’s founder, Dr. Gordon Strauss, along with two members who have used the weekly support group, joined The Couch to talk about the journey to quit smoking.
