Police: Suspect Threw Baby On The Floor During Bronx Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) --  Police are looking for a trio of Bronx robbery suspects involved in a violent incident in which a baby was injured.

The NYPD said that three suspects entered a location on University Avenue through a basement door and approached a female victim, holding her 10-month-old son.

The suspects ordered the woman to put the baby down, but when she refused to comply, one suspect took the baby from her and threw him on the floor, bruising his eye, police said.

Following that, the suspects proceeded to tie up the woman and took money and jewelry from her and fled the location.

The baby was treated and released from North Central Hospital.

Authorities described the suspects in the following way:

Suspect 1: Hispanic man between 25-30 years old, approximately 170 pounds, dark-skinned, last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, black boots and a blue Yankees cap.

Suspect 2: Hispanic man between 25-30 years old, light-skinned, seen wearing a reflective "road work" vest.

Police don't have many details on the third suspect, described only as a Hispanic man who was seen wearing blue jeans.

Authorities have released surveillance video of the second suspect in the incident.
