Levittown Man Charged With Boating While Intoxicated

FREEPORT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Another man has been charged with operating a boat while intoxicated on Long Island.

Thomas Heslin was arrested around 9 p.m. Sunday in Freeport after officers saw him operating a 2000 Donzi without navigation lights in the Woodcleft Canal, police said.

Officers determined the 46-year-old Levittown man was intoxicated after he was pulled over for a vessel inspection.

Heslin is charged with operating a vessel while intoxicated along with several other navigational law violations.

Last week, a homeless Queens man was also charged with boating while intoxicated after his friend went overboard and died in the East Rockaway Inlet.
