Earlier in the afternoon, the derailment of a work train at Atlantic Terminal resulted in the LIRR running limited half hourly service between Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica Station.

Some PM peak trains had to be be canceled because of limited track access, the transit agency said. Earlier in the afternoon, service between Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica had to be suspended.
