Florida Georgia Line Prepare For Their Grand Ole Opry Debut Friday

This Friday (August 17) is a big day for the boys of Florida Georgia Line, as they finally get to be home after a month on the road. Okay, so maybe that's not the only exciting thing happening for this duo on on Friday. That evening, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are walking in the footsteps of Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, and countless country music legends by making their Grand Ole Opry debut.

"We both heard from our publicists and we were pretty jacked up," Tyler admitted during an interview with Charlotte station WSOC. Thankfully, family and friends will be in the audience to support their first Opry appearance. "I'm personally really excited, not really nervous. I got a lot of family and friends coming in... A lot of them haven't even seen a show yet."

Does this mean bandmate Brian is nervous for the both of them? "I wouldn't say nervous, just anxious, I know there's a lot of history on that stage," Brian says, thinking about the whirlwind they've been in lately (they signed to Republic Nashville last month and are continuing to work their single "Cruise").

"It's crazy, the last month of our lives have been insane. I don't think we really had time to even think of being nervous."

As they stand on the stage of the famous Grand Ole Opry, one thing is for certain: it will live in their minds forever.

"I know the two songs we're gonna get to do are going to fly by, so I'm going to try to soak it up as much as we can."
