B&C Morning Show: Chris Lopresti Does What Jerry Usually Does
With Jerry Recco not feeling up to par this morning, the always prepared Chris Lopresti was forced into action, filling in admirably for the legendary update maven.
C-Lo, as he is known around these parts, began things by updating a Yankees 9-6 loss, during which their bullpen let them down once again. Speaking of the bullpen, Boomer & Craig agree that Joba Chamberlain does not deserve a spot on the post season roster - assuming the Bombers make it that is. After last night's loss their lead in the AL East is just 4 games over the surging Tampa Bay Rays.
The lowly Mets lost to the lowly Rockies 3-1 and Boomer believes it might be time for Jordany 'I Am The Man Right Now' Valdespin to do some self-evaluating.
In other baseball news, Roger Clemens (pictured attempting to hold back tears) is back, as the 50-year-old signs a contract to pitch for the Sugar Lane Skeeters, an independent team in Texas. Needless to say, that news prompted Craig to morph into Suzyn Waldman and from there laughter ensued.
Plus some news on both the Jets - whose offense has failed to score a point so far this preseason; and the Giants, who are currently in damage control mode, as fallout from the JPP-Prince Amukamaura video has 'hit the FAN'...
