Top Section Of Woodbridge Parking Garage Pancakes Onto Lower Level

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Authorities will be looking to determine what caused part of a parking garage to collapse in New Jersey.

The incident at the Woodbridge parking garage, which was under construction at the time, happened earlier Tuesday afternoon.

CBS 2's Jim Smith, reporting from Chopper 2 HD, said no one was injured when a portion of the parking deck collapsed from the second level to the lower level.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident, which happened at a store that was being renovated just off of Green Street in Woodbridge at the site of the former Great Indoors store.

It is currently being renovated by a new tenant, Burlington Coat Factory. The store was vacant and no customers were in the area, police said.

Officials will determine a cause once they can secure the scene.
