The festivities will take place at the Kastaar truck, who will be parked at their regular 49th St & 3rd Ave spot. Wafels & Dinges tell us it will start "around noonish" in front of the truck.

There will be a day-long drawing contest, during which contestants will be asked to draw a picture of a bike-powered wafel cart (get a free wafel for this task). Truck employees will attach the pictures to the truck and the most original ones win prizes ranging from jars of speculoos (a type of Belgian shortbread cookie) to t-shirts & cycling hats.

The biggest event of the day is the Miss and Mr. Wafel 2012 competition. Contestants will have to show off their wafel topping skills, eat a wafel blindfolded (with help from the audience) & completely new this year, a track stand competition (standing on top of a bike).

The winners get a certificate, a crown, a sash and a card good for 1 year of free wafels.

Wafels & Dinges is looking for three men and three women to compete in the contest. Interested parties should contact kevin@dedinges.com.

Lastly, you can win a trip to Belgium. Just upload a photo or drawing to the Brussels Airlines facebook that expresses why you are Belgium's biggest fan, and the best one will win a free trip, courtesy of Brussels Airlines. The picture that gets the most votes wins roundtrip airfare for 2 from JFK to Brussels on Brussels Airlines, 4 nights at the Novotel Brussels, and a tour of a waffle iron factory. Enter here.
