NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Two young entrepreneurs from Westchester are on a roll with their advertising idea.

Bryan and Jordan Silverman of Rye Brook started Star Toilet Paper two years ago. The toilet tissue is printed with advertisements and coupon codes that can be read by the user’s smartphone.

Jordan said the idea came to him while he was “sitting in the bathroom while at the University of Michigan.”

“I kind of thought to myself that advertising is in every facet of our lives,” he said. “[The bathroom] is a place where everyone always reads.”

The Silverman brothers are currently in the running for a national prize.
