Taylor Swift's "We Are Never" Single Breaks Records With 623,000 Downloads

The girl can do no wrong. Billboard officially reported yesterday that Taylor Swift's new single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" has made history. The new single shattered records as the biggest digital sales week ever for a song by a woman with an overwhelming 623,000 downloads in one week.

Previously, Lady Gaga held the top spot when her catchy 2011 single "Born This Way" was downloaded 448,000 times the week of its release. Only 13,000 downloads stood in the way of Taylor Swift breaking the all-time record for most singles sold in the first week, though. The honor is currently held by Flo Rida with his 2009 hit "Right Round" which sold an astonishing 636,000 unites in one week.

Not only is Taylor Swift's new single shattering records, it's also holding strong in the top 20 on the Pop Songs chart, Adult Pop Songs chart, Country Songs chart and Adult Contemporary chart.
