Red is for Mitt Romney, the Republican challenger and blue is for incumbent President Barack Obama, the Democrat.

It's a shrewd promotion and, inexplicably, it's accurate. Now, some people are party diehard about it.

One man in New City on Thursday told WCBS 880 reporter Sean Adams he was sure that he wanted President Obama to get re-elected.

"A few months ago, I might have been undecided," he said. "At this point, I'm very decided."

Another man went for Romney.

"Obama promised change and the only change that I've gotten was the change in my pocket," he said.

While many are making their political picks, others choose their coffee cup for a different reason.

"I just like the color blue. I'm not very political," one woman said.

"So you didn't pick it because of Obama?" asked Adams.

"I didn't even notice it. I just saw that it was blue," the woman said.

"No, red is my color," said another. "I'm not sure who I'm voting for yet, but I like red."

If you're on the fence, the green cup is for you.
