B&C Morning Show: Rex Ryan Gives The Skinny On The Jets

The head coach of the Jets, Rex Ryan joined Boomer and Craig on their set at the Atlantic Health Training Center in Florham Park.

They take some time to commend Rex on his new slim figure. Rex has lost 105 pounds since last season and says he wants to drop a few more still.

The guys begin by asking about Rex's area of expertise - the defense. The guys like the additions of Yeremiah Bell and LaRon Landry at safety. Rex really likes what he's seen from those guys in particular, and made a point to mention that depth at safety was one of the glaring needs that the organization did a good job of addressing during the offseason.

But when the discussion shifts to the offense, it's the offseason additions (or lack thereof) that come into question. Listen to Rex respond to questions about the perceived lack of depth at wide receiver, as well as the struggles of Wayne Hunter at right tackle. Rex insists he's fine with the way the offense is constituted, and reminds us that the front office did spend a lot on the skill positions last offseason between bringing in Plaxico Burress and giving Mark Sanchez and Santonio Holmes big-money deals. He also seems to be excited about the potential of draft pick Stephen Hill.

Rex also addresses the debacle with Santonio Holmes and his captaincy last year as well as the media storm that has overtaken Jets camp since the Tim Tebow acquisition. All this plus much more...
