B&C Morning Show: A Jerry Update With A Sterling Screw Up

The great Jerry "Rello" Recco gave us his first update of the morning, and as always, he covered all bases.

He got it started with the Jets after yet another preseason loss. Rex Ryan addressed the interception thrown by Mark Sanchez that really was more the fault of rookie wide receiver Stephen Hill. Boomer and Craig take issue with Rex implying that Sanchez could have thrown that pass any more perfectly. We also hear from Sanchez himself as well as Tim Tebow and Santonio Holmes, who was eager to talk about how badly he was missed in the Jets' locker room.

Before long Jerry gives us the Giants' perspective. While they haven't been dealing with the on-the-field problems the Jets have had this preseason, the injury concerns are starting to pile up. Prince Amukamara has a high-ankle sprain and Osi Umenyiora is dealing with issues related to his surgically repaired knee. Boomer does remind Giants fans that their Week 1 opponent, the Cowboys, are also dealing with some major injury problems.

The focus then shifts to baseball. The Yankees managed to take 2-of-3 from the lowly Indians out in Cleveland. And while it was a good day for the Yanks on Sunday, their radio play-by-play man had a few of his typical misadventures in the broadcast booth. Listen as John Sterling describe Ichiro getting caught stealing as a stolen base, as well as misidentifying a Nick Swisher double as a home run.

Oh yeah, the Mets won too. But no one really cares at this point.
