Boomer and Craig kicked off a new week of shows back in the Allstate Studio. They got rolling with some Jets discussion, as Gang Green is fresh off of their third consecutive preseason loss. But as Boomer and Craig pointed out, the Jets did show some signs of life.

Yes, it’s true that we are still waiting to see the offense produce their first touchdown of the preseason, but Boomer and Craig agreed that it was nice to at least see a playbook that wasn’t quite as vanilla as we saw in the previous two games. There were more attempts to throw the football down-field, and Mark Sanchez looked like he is starting to get a better handle over his game.

Boomer thinks that the Jets’ defense is poised to be a top-10 or maybe even top-5 group in the NFL. They have looked very sharp so far.

The guys also spend some time on the Giants’ injury concerns with Prince Amukamara and Osi Umenyiora. Plus they try to come up with an attention-grabbing name for the Yankees’ next 22 games, in which they will play nothing but American League East foes.
