Since his emergence out of Charlotte in the mid 80′s, Randy Travis has had a tremendous impact on the country music scene and continues to be in the spotlight. In these past few weeks however, his singing talent has not been the focus of that spotlight.
Earlier this month the star earned himself a DWI for drinking and driving naked. This past Friday Travis was cited for assault after being involved in a church parking lot brawl. FOX news has since come forward with information from Plano Texas law enforcement stating that Randy Travis was charged with a misdemeanor assault and “there was no indication that he was intoxicated on the report.”
The following morning on Saturday, August 25, TMZ learned that the Frisco, TX police found the singer’s truck in a field near Lebanon Road and Legacy Drive, smashed and flipped on its side. To see a photo of the mangled Chevy truck, click here.
No one seems to know for sure who was driving the truck or who else may be involved since the vehicle was abandoned. Travis’ lawyer Larry Friedman spoke with Dallas News shortly after the discovery. “He hasn’t been in that truck or seen that truck in about three months.”
Besides denying the star’s involvement, Friedman also indicated that a ranch-hand had been using the vehicle and that they would do their best to find out what led to the truck’s current state of disarray.
As of now, no criminal charges have been filed against anyone in connection with this incident.
One of the many treats of the album is his new song “Everything and All” which is on the Anniversary CD as both a duet with and as a solo effort on the last cut. Watch the official music video:
