Rodney Atkins Keeps Summer Rolling In "Just Wanna Rock N Roll" Video

The leaves are changing, school's back in session and most people have kissed summer goodbye. Rodney Atkins, on the other hand, isn't ready to let go of a summertime favorite in his new video: the county fair.

"Just Wanna Rock N Roll" is Atkins' third single from his much loved album Take A Back Road and the video can't help but get your toes tapping. Set at the Mississippi Valley Fair, the video takes fans on an in depth journey through a typical day with the country star. From the moment Atkins steps off the bus in the first few seconds, instantly you're transformed into life on tour.

Usually a private moment by artists and crew, the video shows Atkins and his band soundchecking "Just Wanna Rock N Roll" before opening the gates, which are holding back thousands of screaming country fans. Cowboy hats, sundresses and boots flood the screen once fans begin dashing to the stage, all anxious for a glimpse at the "Take A Back Road" singer.

Though the video is set in Mississippi, it's impossible not to reminisce back to moments when Atkins took the stage in other cities in America with screaming fans, excited youngsters and handmade signs littering the crowd. As the video continues, Atkins jumps in the crowd, takes pictures with fans and shows that his love and passion for music is infinite.

"Don't you just wanna rock 'n' roll / gather up a couple of friends / let a shot hit the spot / and the party begin"

While summer may be over, "Just Wanna Rock N Roll" is the perfect song to remind people that the party has only begun.

It's been a big year for Atkins as his single "Take A Back Road" became the fasting-rising and sixth number one single of his career. He also spent times overseas in Afghanistan performing for the troops, which he calls a life changing and humbling experience. "I came out of Afghanistan saying I will never complain again for the rest of my life after seeing what those men and women do," he said.

Atkins is currently on tour through the end of the year.
