By then it will still be less than three months since the Olympic race.

"This is a dream team. This is a good day," Richard Finn of the New York Road Runners said as he made the announcement on Wednesday.

The announcement was made at the US Open with London fourth place finisher and New York City fan favorite Meb Keflezighi.

He will be joined in November by his teammates Ryan Hall and Abdi Abdirahman.

"That's why I keep coming back. I love the support that I get from the New Yorkers and the love that I've been getting over the years. 'USA' and 'Meb' - chanting my name," Keflezighi said. "New York is special, really. And to go through all the five boroughs is wonderful story."

Many fans came by to congratulate him on his London performance.

"I'm happy. I mean fourth place in the world. People didn't even think I could have a chance at the medal, but I got very close and I ran my heart out for our country," he said, noting that's what he plans to do in November.

He won back in 2009.

"Nobody says you cannot dream again," he said.
