Court documents show Borker admitted to threatening them with assault, murder and rape.

Authorities also said Borker admitted to telling one customer 'don't forget, I know where you live,' WCBS 880's Irene Cornell reported.

Borker's theory on the value of bad publicity was that when irate and frightened customers went online to describe their ordeal, it would be boost his sales by moving his website, decormyeyes.com, up to the top in Google searches for eyeglasses.

At sentencing, Borker was in tears and said, 'I had a big mouth. I just couldn't control it and it ruined my life,' Cornell reported.
