B&C Morning Show: Three Weeks To Fantasia

Boomer and Craig open a very special Tuesday radio program live from the 8th annual BGC charity day. The entire NYC area has very heavy hearts this morning as we honor the lives lost on 9/11. It's a day that none of us will ever forget. But much like 11 years ago, sports can provide a great distraction for those in mourning.

The Yankees are locked in a tight race in the AL East with both the O's and Ray's. There are only 3 weeks remaining in the season, so this morning Craig decided to dub the rest of the Yanks campaign as "3 weeks to fantasia." Bang!

We all know Carton is a HUGE Yankee fan, especially after Labor Day. Boomer on the other hand, not so much. He is not drinking the Kool Aid. In fact, he feels it's his duty to rain on the parade and bring some clarity to the radio program. Craig thinks the "magical" run that the Yanks will go on starts with this series against the Sox. He fully expects the Bombers to beat down their long-time hated rival.

Craigie is extremely pumped up about Yankees Sox tonight, Boomer not so much. To be fair, Mr. Esiason did not get into NY this morning until 1 am. He was calling the Ravens Bengals game. So needless to say, Boom was very tired and had a built in excuse for lack of energy for a Tuesday night baseball game.

As we all know, the Jet offense and Mark Sanchez flat out took it to the Bills at Metlife on Sunday. So all is well in Jet land? Not so much. Craig is very concerned about the Sanchize, but it has nothing to do with what is going on between the lines. Mr. Carton is very worried about Mark's social life. Needless to say being the QB of the NY Jets has its perks, and the former USC signal-caller is reaping all its benefits.

Mr. Sanchez has been seen on the town multiple times with the very beautiful Eva Longoria. The former Mrs. Tony Parker was out with Mark Sunday night after Gang Green's win over the Bills. No biggie right? Wrong! Craig is convinced his QB is in love and quite frankly…he can't have it!!! Cragie feels this will impact his play on the field. What do you think?

These are the kind of days where sports play such a vital role in lifting peoples spirits, but its' also very important that we all take a few moments today to remember all the lives lost 11 years ago.
