Jerry Recco was saddled with the task of updating us on all the details surrounding losses by both the Yankees and the Mets.
The Yankees came up short in Beantown, falling to the Red Sox 4-3 and now have company atop the AL East, as the Orioles topped the Rays 9-2 down in Baltimore. This game was not with out drama, as the unmistakable duo of John Sterling & Suzyn Waldman (pictured) once again found themselves in harms way when a foul ball cascaded into the WCBS 880 Yankees radio booth. Not to worry though, the two radio vets emerged without a scratch and Suzyn filled us in as to why.
As far as the Mets, even with RA Dickey on the mound looking for win #19, they fell to the Nationals 5-3 with Dickey getting saddled with his 5th loss…
