There was no sugarcoating it this morning, after losing to the Red Sox last night in Boston, Craig put ‘his’ beloved Yankees on notice: ‘enough is enough!’
The Yanks slipped into a tie with the Orioles for supremacy in the highly competitive AL East, with the Rays just 2 games back. Craig called last night’s loss ‘unforgivable’ before saying good morning to his blonde radio partner, Boomer Esiason.
The Booms was in much better spirits than poor Craigie, although he would have liked to have seen RA Dickey capture his 19th win last night against the Nationals, and did take exception when Craig cavalierly said ‘Dickey couldn’t get the job done.’
So the majority of today’s show open was dedicated to the Yanks ongoing struggles – plenty to talk about on that front – and a little on the Mets, as Dickey made them somewhat relevant, if only for a fleeting moment…
