B&C Morning Show: Jeter Is The Man, Revis Shouldn't Play And Role Playing With Eva & Sanchez

The gift that keeps on giving.  That is how you could describe the Yankees' captain, Derek Jeter.  I don't care of you're a fan of the Yankees or not, if you like baseball, one has to appreciate what this guy has done throughout his career, which is still going strong. Last night in Boston, Jeter added to his legacy by tying the great Willie Mays for 10th place on the all-time hit list (3,283) in the Yankees' 2-0 win over the Red Sox -- and it was there that Jerry Recco began his first update of this Football Friday edition of the Morning Extravaganza.

The Bombers will be home tonight for the Rays and we'll see a big time pitching matchup in the Bronx when David Price takes the ball for the Rays and CC Sabathia makes the start for the Yanks.

Moving right along, Jerry recapped last night's Bears-Packers game in Green Bay, which was won handily by the Packers 23-10.

Some bad news for Jets fans, as it does not appear that Darrell Revis will be paying Sunday in Pittsburgh after suffering a concussion Sunday against the Bills.  Boomer & Craig talked about the dangers of concussions and flying with one.  Keeping it with the Jets, Eva Longoria (Hellooo) admitted to Mario Lopez on 'Extra' that she is dating Mark Sanchez, but  her favorite Jet is Nick Mangold.  That led Craig to imagine a role playing scenario where Mark Sanchez played himself and Eva Longoria donned the role of the Jets 300+lb. Mangold - go-ahead and allow that resonate for a moment or two.

Craig then goes out on a limb and guarantees the new power couple will be no longer by Christmas.

Plus, we heard Giants head coach  Tom 'kiss my ass' Coughlin talked about a good effort in practuice as he prepares his team to take on Greg Schiano's Tampa Bay Bucs.  And barring a miracle, it is very likely that the NHL will lockout it's players tomorrow at midnight - so there's that...
