Dolly Parton Is Coming To A Slot Machine Near You

Many onetime teenagers can probably remember playing pinball machines branded with bands like AC/DC and KISS. Now, as grown-ups, those same music fans can now pull the lever of (or, more likely, push the button on) a one-armed bandit emblazoned with the name and likeness of country superstar Dolly Parton.

Yes, that's right, we're talking about Dolly-branded slot machines. They are set to be unveiled next month at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas by manufacturer International Game Technology (IGT).

And they aren't classic lever-pull slots at all. According to a release posted on the IGT website, the products, which include "Dolly Parton® Video Slots" and "Two Doors Down and Nine to Five Spinning Reels," will "feature interactive juke-box-style song selections, big bonus action and front-row concert experiences all with Dolly cheering the player along."

“As you know, I love doing lots of different things and this is the most different thing that I’ve done so far," Dolly said in a press statement.

The Dolly Parton slots join other IGT machines branded with such pop-culture touchstones as Sex and the CityBreakfast at Tiffany's, Elvis, and, of course, Kenny Rogers.

According to IGT, the Dolly-branded machines are among 70 new products being unveiled by IGT at the October expo. No word yet on where you might encounter one of them firsthand.
