Rangers' McDonagh Visits Yankee Stadium Bleacher Creatures

BRONX, NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - With the NHL lockout looming, Ryan McDonagh of the New York Rangers joined the 'Bleacher Creatures' in Section 203 of Yankee Stadium on Saturday.

The Rangers' defenseman took in the Yankees' 5-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays among passionate fans gathered in the right field bleachers.  He participated in the  'roll call' and later posed for photos with famous Bleacher Creature Vinny Milano and fans gathered in Section 203.

It was actually McDonagh's first Yankee game at the stadium.  Perhaps, he was a good luck charm for the Bombers.  McDonagh was impressed by Curtis Granderson and Eduardo Nunez's back-to-back home runs.  He tweeted: "Just witnessed back to back homeruns for NY during my first Yankees game experience! #cyyaaa."

McDonagh thanked the Yankees for the experience: "@YankeesPR thank you. What an awesome experience!! Yankees fans love their traditions!!"
