B&C Morning Show: Giants Stop Cam And Bombers Keep On Rolling
Welcome…Welcome…Welcome. It's that favorite time of the week again, a Football Friday on the Boomer and Carton radio program. The guys open the show talking about what else, the New York Giants! Seemingly against all odds, banged up and on a short week, Big Blue absolutely dismantled the Panthers down in Charlotte.
What made this win so sweet, according to Craig, is that NOBODY saw it coming (plenty of experts picked Cam and the Panthers). Even though the G-Men are the reigning champs, they entered this game on short rest without key players like Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw. Craig says Andre Brown is a stud, the o-line deserves the game ball, the defensive stepped up and Ramses Barden said hellooooooooooooooooooooo!
Boomer was equally impressed with Big Blue's performance last night. In his words, "the SB Champs showed up." Andre Brown is making waves for his back-to-back outstanding outings. Boom thinks the Giants found a true diamond in the rough. Mr. Esaison also could not stop raving about Ramses Barden and the HUGE game he had last night. Though he couldn't quite figure if the Giants are this good, or the Panthers are that bad. You be the judge.
Another NY team had a big Thursday night, Craig Carton's NY Yankees. Cragie was extremely pumped this morning after his red-hot Yanks took down the Jays at the stadium. Brain Cashman certainly deserves a ton of credit for bringing in Ichiro. The future Hall of Famer has gotten a ton of clutch hits lately, something the Bombers have lacked this season.
