Jerry begins his update with a recap of the Giant’s big win in Carolina last night. Big Blue, all banged up, went down to Carolina and spanked the Panthers 36-7. Andre Brown rushed for over 100 yards, but it was Ramses Barden who caught Tom Coughlin’s eye. The former third-round pick notched a career-high 9 passes for 138 yards. Last year the Giants were “all-in,” but this year the team’s slogan is “next man up.” Guys like Barden and Brown certainly embody that moniker.
The Jets head to Miami this weekend to take on a Dolphin team that totally tore up the Raiders last Sunday. Gang Green is coming off a loss to the Steelers, but they were without Darrelle Revis. Good news though, the All-World CB is expected to play Sunday and that’s great news for Rex Ryan. The Jets HC could not help but smile with the thought of his best defensive player being on the field.
Jerry’s update continues on with the Yankees 10-7 win over the Blue Jays at the Stadium. Ichiro continued his hot-streak going 3 for 4 last night. The future Hall of Famer has been so clutch for the Bombers since coming over from Seattle.
