L.I. Sex Offender Accused Of Placing Hidden Camera In Dressing Room At Fashion Show

MASTIC BEACH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A registered sex offender has been arrested for allegedly placing a video camera in a dressing room at a fashion show over the summer on Long Island.

Robert Liguori, of Mastic Beach, had apparently been hired as a photographer at a Southampton swimsuit fashion show in July.

The 51-year-old placed a hidden video camera inside the dressing room and recorded four women disrobing, police said.

One of the victims spotted the camera and reported it to authorities, sparking an investigation, police said.

Liguori faces four counts of unlawful surveillance and three counts of attempted surveillance in connection with the incident.

In 2000, Liguori was convicted of disseminating indecent materials to a minor after being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to the NY Sex Offender Registry.

Liguori was also arrested on a stalking charge two weeks ago, police said.
