B&C Morning Show: The Refs Are Back And The Yanks May Not Lose Another Game

As I'm sure you've heard by now, the NFL will no longer be depending on replacement officials to preside over the action on the gridiron, as a deal has been struck with the regular officials. They will reportedly be taking the field as soon as tonight in Baltimore, when the Browns and the Ravens kick off Week 4.

Boomer & Craig opened up this thirsty Thursday edition of the morning extravaganza by talking about the long-awaited return of the referees, as the two sides reached a reported eight-year deal late last night.  Boomer believes that the "mob mentality" was the tipping point for the deal, saying that the NFL was putting an inferior product on the field and the fan base had seen enough.

Craig was quick to point out that he can't ever remember the NFL getting "spanked," as was the case here.  He said that the fans deserve all of the credit, adding that the NFL could not have been prepared for the public backlash.

The bottom line is that they're back and it's all good.

Craig also believes that things are all good surrounding the Yankees moving forward, as the Bombers beat the Twins 8-2 yesterday afternoon. And with seven games left in the season, Craig doesn't think the Bombers will lose again this regular season.  Boomer called his radio partner's declaration the kiss of death.

Rounding things out, Craig gave Boomer "permission" to bring up R.A. Dickey at any point during today's show, as the Mets' knuckleballer will be trying for his 20th win today at Citi Field against Andrew McCutchen and the Pirates (1:10 pm first pitch).
